Hey Hobby Farmer, we got you covered for an all inclusive experience for 3 nights + 4 days that doesn’t include you slaving away in the Sand Studio pitching sand + molds. As a Hobby Farmer you’re not invested in the Sand Studio Family Farmer lifestyle. You just want to create something simple from something that’s already started for you.

Or maybe you just want to spend more time under the main tent in a more relaxed atmosphere making friends or fortifying old friendships. Maybe you just want to dip your toes into the whole iron family experience or just need a quieter weekend lounging in your hammock soaking up the country life. This is a great package for you to still participate + have something to show for it! There’s no deep commitment like those feral sand studio folks have! Just a hobby iron farmer commitment.

Camping

You are covered for 3 nights of camping in the Well of Dreams aka Tent City. Ideally, you arrive early enough on Thursday to get your hands dirty with whatever tile or bowl project you select + then join us in town for the second annual DOTF Iron Farmers Market Art Show sponsored by the local art center. In addition to Thursday night camping, the Hobby Farmer Tile or Bowl Package also includes camping for Friday & Saturday nights. If you would like to stay until Monday or come earlier, you can add camping nights individually by adding them to your cart before checkout.

Meals

Your package includes 8 raved-about family-style meals. We have included one meal for Thursday evening, 3 meals each for Friday & Saturday as well as breakfast on Sunday morning. If you need more meals, you can add them to your cart individually before checkout.

*Selecting Your Customizable Tile or Bowl

*Clay Relief Tile
- Regularly priced at $85
- This is the most customizable of the 4 options + usually the most friendly version as you get to work in the positive, molding oil-based clay
- If you have never made one before, please be sure to attend one of our on-site workshops for instructions
- *Clay Relief Pattern must be done by early evening Friday so it can be queued up for casting in sand before the Sand Studio closes at 11:59 pm CST Friday
- *You will also need to have your clay removed from the sand mold before 3pm Saturday in order to have it ready for the pour that evening
Scratch Options
If you will be scratching words or images that are important to have oriented correctly, please get instruction on how to do so as you are working in reverse with scratch molds.

Art Show Ticket

NEW for 2026 :: This years Iron Farmers Market Art Show will be hosted onsite in the Barn, as we open the Country Cathedral and begin energizing the space for restorations + events to come. Thursday evening, July 2nd at 5pm we will have a gathering in the hayloft to share more about our vision for the farm + open the space with a showing of pieces poured at the farm over the years. The space will be open from 5-9 pm.

T-shirt

Customize it + wear it with pride, Iron Farmer! You are part of a movement to help us bring more awareness + accessibility to this art form while creating community + food for souls.

Pint

This pint is your ticket to the beverage trough during your stay. There will be a variety of alcoholic + non-alcoholic beverages to choose from as well as coffee + unlimited fresh, cold well water.
